BioWare/Pandemic Article

Next Generation has published an article about the merger of BioWare and Pandemic Studios, which includes commentary from BioWare's Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk and Pandemic's Josh Resnick.
Muzyka said that Elevation managing director Riccitiello in particular is a major force in directing where the two autonomous studios need to go. But it's not about selling out to the old industry vet with the moneybags, rather he is viewed as a mentor who really knows what he's doing.

"[Riccitiello] has just tremendous depth of knowledge about the videogame space through his years of working with Electronic Arts," said Muzyka. "He's been a great mentor. He's a tremendous marketer and has a great understanding of the community and the consumer."

Zeschuk cited that not all investors may be as lucky as Elevation Partners has been. "It's a tough space to play in. People have been burnt before," he said. "But we're really happy with the partnership with Pandemic and also with Elevation for having put it all together.

"It's the best possible setup. It set us up for success on the new frontier."
