The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Reviews

Another set of glowing reviews for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion reached the web over the past couple of days. The first is at GamersMark with an overall score of 9.5/10:
What is the bottom line here? This game will sell systems. It will please die-hard fans of the series to no end. It is better than all existing 360 games, at the time of writing, save for Geometry Wars. It has been made more accessible so that anyone can take a stab at it. It isn't perfect; it doesn't do anything revolutionary in the world of gaming, but if you have a 360 or an up-to-date barge, go purchase this game. If you're a fan of adventure, action, RPG's, or even just great games in general, Oblivion is great fun and certainly worth a shot.

The second is at GameShark with an overall score of "A-":
So Oblivion is far from perfect, but that doesn't change the fact that you can get lost inside of its world. It's this freedom that drives the game. No game is as good as Oblivion in terms of sandbox adventuring fun.

The third is at GamePlasma with an overall score of 9.2/10:
If you haven't made up your mind as to whether or not Oblivion is worth your time, I'm telling you right now that it is. Although you may jeopardize your social life, hygiene, and a healthy sleep cycle, it's worth every minute. At 200+ hours of gameplay and an endless amount of replay value through the character creation system, this is the most game you'll find anywhere for $50. Some players might be upset at the lack of any LAN or online play (and we all know how awesome co-op would be!), but Bethesda said they wanted to concentrate on providing the best single player experience possible, and it's my pleasure to report that they have succeeded.

The fourth is at Extreme Gamer with a perfect score of 10/10:
The bottom line is Oblivion is probably the only game besides Halo that gamers will still have in their drives a year from now, an after running around the world for 50hrs I can see why. Oblivion is everything is claimed and more. This is a major achievement for Bethesda, and a must-have title for the Xbox 360.

And the fifth is at Games Xtreme with an overall score of 9.7/10:
It is a Console RPG at its heart but it has broken new ground for the genre and deserves to be in any Xbox 360 owners collection, even if they usually hate this kind of game there's something in Oblivion for everyone and the challenge is finding the right game balance for your style of play.
