X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse Reviews

A handful of new reviews for Activision and Raven Software's X-Men Legends II made their way to the web over the past several days. The first is at The Armchair Empire where they've given the PSP version an overall score of 8.5/10:
I suggest a purchase for anyone who has a PSP and likes Action RPGs. You do not even have to be a hardcore X-Men fan to enjoy this one. It is definitely worth your pretty dollar.

The second is at Future Gamez where they've given the PSP version an overall score of 90%:
This game has ported very well to the PSP, and even includes plenty of bonus content. If you're a fan of comic books and/or action adventure styled games then this is an essential purchase. The production values, storyline and gameplay all combine to make X-Men Legends II: Rise of the Apocalypse the best comic book adaptation of all time. This is an essential purchase.

The third is at RPGDreamers with an overall score of 7.7/10:
Affectively, X-Men Legends II isn't really any different than X-Men Legends. The gameplay is pretty much the same as well as the graphics and music. You just have more skills, more xtreme powers, and more mutants to play with than before. The only new change is the added co-op online play capability but that's held to a very limited usage. If you love X-Men Legends then you'll love this game as the two are pretty much identical. There's no real major improvement in the sequel from the first game. The only problem that may arise is that if the gameplay continues to maintain its status quo for future new X-Men Legends sequels than the series will become stale very quickly. But that's all in the future. For the now, X-Men Legends II will live up to the hype and same expectation that its predecessor has established for those X-Men Legends rpg fans out there. And that is the game is still fun to play.

And the fourth is at Web Wombat with an overall score of 70%:
On occasion Rise of Apocalypse manages to rise above its humble origins and significant flaws, but in the end we've seen it all before. Legends 2 is hardly the revelation that one might have hoped for, and, hamstrung by a crude interface, atrocious load times and average gameplay, only the hardcore X-Men fans need apply. Of which there are millions, so enjoy!
