The UK firm is known to have been positioning itself for a buyout for the past year, but a recent flurry of release activity has sparked renewed interest in the Black & White creator.

And, having secured two of the world's leading developers in a $300m double-strike, to create a new global super-developer, the omnivorous investment firm is believed to see Molyneux's outfit as providing a solid European development base.
