Dragonshard Reviews

A pair of new reviews for Atari and Liquid Entertainment's Dragonshard have surfaced, both of which offer a similar conclusion for the RTS/RPG hybrid. The first is at UGO with an overall score of "B":
If you are looking for a new RTS to play on your computer, but you aren't going to be a snob about it, then Dragonshard is for you. If you dig the D&D worlds and know what a Gelatinous Cube is, then you'll enjoy playing through this one (even if the story is tired crud). RTS fans will find a lot to nitpick about in Dragonshard, even though there are some attempts at mixing things up a bit. I'm still afraid it's not enough to win over the hardcore. Figure out where you fit and make your purchases accordingly, brave adventurer.

And the second is at Eurogamer with an overall score of 7/10:
It's not been the best year for us real-time strategists, and Dawn of War still dominates my affections, but Dragonshard nevertheless provides some welcome distractions. It's amusingly offbeat in places, but I can't help suspecting that the D&D hardcore will be deeply dissatisfied with Atari's offerings, at least until Dungeons & Dragons Online turns up. And maybe even more so then...
