Camelot Grab Bag Q&A

Mythic's Sanya Thomas has once again posted her weekly Grab Bag Q&A on the Camelot Herald, this time addressing questions about archery damage, crafting in Darkness Rising, and more. Here's a taste:
Q: I was registered for the fan gathering, and was therefore supposed to receive a beta for Darkness Rising. I never received it, and spoke to someone at the Roundtable in Las Vegas, who assured me that I would get another invitation. Still nothing!

A: I try to handle stuff like this on a per-player basis, rather than taking up time in the more general grab bag. But as you'll see in a second, the Herald was my only alternative.

We took the information for all players at Roundtable without their beta, and we ran them through the system again. When we mailed out the invitations, many of them were bounced back to us, saying that we were not tagged as allowable mail, and we were invited to fill out a form to verify that we were not spam. Under normal circumstances, filling out the form would be no trouble, but right now we've got hundreds more beta invites to process, and filling out forms isn't something we can take the time to do.

And if we got bouncebacks like that, I shudder in horror at the number of beta invitations sitting forlornly in spam folders. Out of the dozen or so players who wrote me with this problem, only one responded as I asked. so my guess is that my email to assure you that I wasn't ignoring you hasn't been seen! It's a communication and a grammatical nightmare!

Please, I beg you, tell your email programs and spam filters to accept as valid any mail coming from Mythic Entertainment. Allowing us to send you mail will NOT result in any offers of porn or pharmaceuticals, so please just let us through.
