Fable: The Lost Chapters Reviews

Yet another handful of reviews for Lionhead Studios' Fable: The Lost Chapters have made their way online. The first is at Game Over Online with an overall score of 84%:
If you're a PC owner, then the decision is much easier. Fable: The Lost Chapters is a polished and entertaining ride, jam packed with people to see and things to do. The graphics are nice, the voice acting is superb, and the combat is a lot of fun. If you've been disappointed by recent role-playing game releases like Dungeon Siege II and Dungeon Lords, then The Lost Chapters is a game you should definitely purchase and enjoy.

The second is at TotalVideoGames with an overall score of 8/10:
Whether or not Fable: The Lost Chapters is worth a purchase very much depends on whether you played it the first time around. On the PC it's still an appealing prospect (despite its misgivings) although given the slightly more serious offerings on the format it's unlikely to appeal to the true RPG fanatic.

The third is at GamesFirst! with an overall score of 4/5:
You won't be disappointed in the slightest with the overall experience that this game grants you, and with all the new additions and material, you should be busy with this game for hours and hours; around twenty-five to thirty to be specific, and even more if you're the super explorer type that must see every square inch of every area and collect every single item in the game. Fable: The Lost Chapters isn't exactly an innovative game, but it certainly perfects the RPG genre and sets a worthy standard that all RPG games will undoubtedly benefit from should this same standard be implemented, and adds a significant amount of material to an already incredible game.

The fourth is at Daily Game with an overall score of 8/10:
If you've never played Fable, or you've only played through it one quick time, The Lost Chapters is a fun and adventurous game. But if you're looking for a super-deep and involving game like Gothic or Morrowind, you probably won't find that here unless you do a lot more than just race through the main missions. Unfortunately, you also won't find much new content compared to the original Xbox version. Apparently the Lost Chapters are still lost.

And the fifth is at VGPub with an overall score of 9.1/10:
Fable is a fantastic game and TLC builds even more onto it. The one thing I am disappointed with is that there is no multiplayer mode. A little capture the flag or death match mode would add hours upon hours of replay, and would help to justify the $50 price tag for this version over the $20 tag on the Xbox version. Don't get me wrong, the ability to create your own custom tattoos is awesome, but I don't know if it's $30 awesome. Also, why not have a female hero for a change?
