New monsters have been added, in addition to new areas, new magical skills and new quests, some of which are sidequests with little or no relevance to the main plot. You won't see most of these changes before the later part of the game, because The Lost Chapters continues where the original game ended, and takes you to the northern continent, where new challenges await. We have promised Microsoft that we wouldn't spill the beans on what takes place up there, but suffice it to say that the resistance is fierce to say the least.
