Gothic III "Making Of" Article

Piranha Bytes' official Gothic III website has been updated with a new "Making Of" article penned by designer Ralf Marczinczik. In it, Ralf talks about the character design process and how the game's Orcs have evolved to their final look. Here's a taste:
At first, I have focused on the scull shape and created dozens of sketches. I tried to imagine how the Orcs might have evolved. The bulging forehead and the protruding jaw are the only remains from that design period, though.

At the same time I have concerned myself with the creation of new armor. I liked the combination of leather wickerwork and organic timming and considered it quite suitable. It makes the Orcs stand out against the humans in terms of their look and underlines their very own culture.
