The PAX demo for Lord of the Rings Online showed off their "newbie" region of the game where new players will be able to go on simple quests and basically learn the lay of the land before venturing forth into more of the game world. The game already looks terrific with art and character design that really envokes the vision of Tolkien's fantasy world. Playable races include humans, dwarves, elves and of course hobbits and the Turbine reps told us they have a large leeway to create their own original content, including new creatures, for the game (of course, all the original content must first be approved by the Tolkien estate).
