Auto Assault Team Q&A #3

RPG Vault has published their third Auto Assault Team Q&A, this time quizzing the development team about the game's arena combat element. Here's a taste:
Q: Speaking as both an Auto Assault team member and a gamer, what stands out as especially fun, interesting, appealing or otherwise noteworthy about the arena combat element?

Adam "Snipehunter" Maxwell, Lead Content Designer, Mutant: Oooh, damn, that's tough to pick one or two elements. Arenas in Auto Assault are noteworthy in a lot of ways. Still, if I have to, I think I'd single out the scheduled tournaments and ladders. Players in the arena are ranked, and based on your ranking, you can opt to buy in to compete in scheduled tournaments for fame, glory and a hefty purse.

Since the arenas cross server boundaries, you aren't just competing against the players from your server, either. Instead, you're competing against every arena player in the Auto Assault universe, even members of your own race. I play a Mutant character a lot (go figure) and the arenas are the one place where I can really test myself against my fellow Mutants. Of course, that creates a way for clans to train for the wars in the Central Wastelands, too.
