IGN's State of the Xbox RPG

IGN Xbox has published a five-page article entitled "State of the Xbox RPG", in which they take a look at the evolution of the genre on Microsoft's popular console system. The time span doesn't quite compare to the PC, but there are quite a few titles mentioned, most of which we cover here on GameBanshee. A snippet:
With the exception of the early PC port, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, the most formidable group of RPGs on Xbox all arrived recently on Xbox. Following Bethesda's RPG is Knights of the Old Republic (we've picked the first KOTOR because it had more of an impact when it came out), and the two other heavy hitters are Fable and Jade Empire.

You could throw in the action-heavy X-Men Legends for good measure, and certainly The Bard's Tale was both original and the most hilarious RPG ever made, and there are certain fans who would include Shenmue (we know who you are, don't worry), but for the sake of brevity, we've picked those first four as the best examples of the kinds of RPGs on Xbox.
