Soul Lance was created hundreds of years ago. Early versions of the spell created a powerful but slow moving energy lance. Combat mages of the Plain of Tears refined it to shoot a penetrating beam of necromantic energy that is capable of striking all enemies in its path at once. Those who dedicate their studies to dark magic can absorb the life that Soul Lance tears away, using it to heal themselves.
