World of Warcraft Battlegrounds Reports

Both GameSpy and MMOGInfo are offering up reports of the first ten days within World of Warcraft's new Battlegrounds, Warsong Gulch and Alterac Valley. A snip from GameSpy's article:
While I do have some complaints about the Battlegrounds system, I hope they come off as constructive criticism, not whining. Overall, for the individual player, Battlegrounds is a great addition to a great game. It's a fun alternative to endlessly raiding the same instances over and over again and can net you some primo gear and recognition. It'd be great, though, if this could evolve into something that would affect the larger game -- you know, having the team that wins the most times in a week takes back a town or something. It doesn't have to be huge to add to the fun, I'm not interested in turning the game into Lineage II or anything, but even small additions would enhance the experience. Wouldn't it be great if the team that wins the most matches in a week would get a buff for every player of their entire faction in the world? It'd make the battles more meaningful in a team sense and get more people involved.

And a snip from MMOGInfo's article:
As far as the combat itself it's necessary to congratulate Blizzard because it has managed to design a very even system in which the battles can last hours and hours and finally it wins the side that has known to team work better. The fights are frenetic, and fight to blood and fire until by the last meter of land that can be gained to the enemy. But the basic thing is to be able to conquer the key points of the map and obtain its advantages, for example, if we control the graveyards of the rival we will be able to revive there when dying and force that progressively this one must be backing down positions. In addition, when we kill an enemy player we can loot its insignia to avoid that he can revive in his corpse. And if we take the special invocation mission we can obtain its blood to give it to our shaman or druid so that they can summon a terrible elemental in the case of the Horde or a gigantic treant in the side of the Alliance.
