The most blatant sign of poor and mediocre group players is probably that they act like they're solo. For instance, they wander off on their own. They attack enemies as soon as they're ready, even when their companions are not. They dump all their mana into offence, maximizing their damage output but having nothing in reserve when a cohort needs a quick heal or root. There are other all too familiar examples, but the point of this tip is not to list them. Rather, it's to point out that the first step to becoming a better group player is simply to remember that you're not by yourself.
