Star Wars Galaxies: Rage of the Wookiees Reviews

The weekend brings us two of the first reviews for Sony Online's newly released Star Wars Galaxies: Rage of the Wookiees expansion. The first is at IGN PC with an overall score of 7.6/10:
Kashyyyk by itself won't convince new players to try out Star Wars Galaxies. Like all expansions, it's a way to extend the experience for existing players and to make the overall package seem more substantial for those who are still on the fence. Though the content is engaging, Kashyyyk is, by design, a bit removed from the rest of the game. You'll still be doing the same sorts of things here that you'd be doing on other planets but Kashyyyk definitely has a flavor all its own. The smaller additions -- new mounts, cybernetics, etc. -- are appreciated but they're really incidental to the overall experience of finding your own role in the fight between the Wookiees and the Trandoshans or among the Rodian hunters off in the wilds.

And the second is at GamePro with an overall score of 4.0/5:
As seems to be the norm in MMORPGs these days, there are bugs to be ironed out, and some beasties that seem desperately in need of balancing, but the overall sense you get from Rage of the Wookiees is that new frontiers await--and isn't that why you play these things in the first place?
