World of Warcraft Tips of the Week #18

RPG Vault is offering up some additional advice to aid you in your travels through Blizzard's World of Warcraft. The eighteenth installment discusses playing a Rogue and deciding whether or not to pick up crafting. An excerpt from the latter:
In general, crafting to produce items just for your own use is likely to cost you money. Unless you have a lot of friends, you'll have to buy quite a few formulas or recipes since you won't get many appropriate drops at all. You'll also need to acquire components, some of which can only be purchased. Training adds further expense, and if you sell your production to NPCs, you'll probably incur an opportunity cost since you'll receive less than the value of the raw materials. On the other hand, if you craft for a group like a guild, that may make it worthwhile, or if you become proficient enough to create items that are in high demand, you can turn a profit. And on a personal level, you may want to do it because it's something you enjoy.
