The Camelot Castle zone in Avalon plays host to one of the more important encounters for players in Anarchy Online, that with the dragon Taraseque. This creature drops some of the best and most sought after items in the game, but the playfield it lives in comes with a twist in that it is PvP enabled, meaning the factions can actively fight it out over access to the creature and its loot.
Down through the years, this has led to various approaches by players, from trying to share the spawn by mutual agreement to out and out battles right up to the doorstep of the dragon's lair itself.
What it has shown us as developers is that if you give the players the option to fight for the spawn, they invariably do, and that the conflict itself is often seen as the primary reason for attending such raids!
