Freedom Force vs. the Third Reich Previews

Both GameSpot and GameSpy have whipped up previews for Irrational Games' Freedom Force sequel, based upon a press demo of the game that offered one playable level and four superheroes. A snip from GameSpot's article:
Freedom Force vs. the Third Reich also has some handy new features like default melee attacks for every hero. In the previous game, it was often tempting to follow the actions of one individual hero or just a few heroes as they used their superpowers to defeat their foes, while the rest of your heroes would quietly sit things out offscreen and get pummeled by other enemies. The new game gives every hero a default melee attack that costs no superhero energy to use and also causes untended characters to fend for themselves. The new melee attack is also handy for cleaning up any defeated henchmen that try to flee the scene.

And a snip from GameSpy's article:
All the familiar favorites from the first game are coming back, including the oh-so-earnest and slightly dim Minute Man, El Diablo, the Flamelord of the Barrio, and the mighty mentalist Mentor. This time they're joined by a new group of heroes including Quetzalcoatl, an Aztec lord who can command the power of the sun and serpents; the undead Tombstone who can possess enemies; and the magically gifted Green Genie. While in the past, they'll be hooking up with Golden Age heroes like Blackjack from Britain, Hollywood actor-turned-hero Sky King, and French femme fatale Tricolor. The new foes they'll be fighting include the Blitzkrieg, the secret power behind the Nazis; Japanese swordsman, Red Sun; and my personal favorite, Fortissimo, an Italian flying baritone who can blow stuff up with his voice.
