Character generation mirrors Neo's "awakening" at the trilogy's start - even down to the claustrophobic journey through the pipes and drains of the real world. Up next is a set of tutorials; again, they'll be familiar to movie-watchers, but we'll leave discovering them to you.

Plenty of movie flavor is also present in the combat: It bears more resemblance to a beat-em-up than the typical MMORPG fare of canned animations and attacks. It's a very dynamic business -- rather than just taking a swing at thin air vaguely near your enemy, you'll see your character and his foe fighting in graphic detail.
