RPGVault has released a fourth diary for Ultima Online: Samurai Empire, this time with project lead Jessica Lewis discussing the final push to get the expansion out the door. A snippet, as usual:
My phone and I became one during the course of launching Samurai Empire. Before the project, I didn't consider myself a cell phone person. I don't think I can say that anymore. As a result of our seating arrangements - with QA, meeting rooms and the dev team all on separate floors - and the fact that we realized we couldn't lose even a minute of polish time, cell phones became instant life lines. Instead of instant messaging, we picked up the phone, or if the person you needed wasn't in eyesight or earshot, we picked up the phone. Whether it was a weekend, weekday or night, I had my phone in hand to get status, evaluate a problem or just touch base.
