Horizons: Empire of Istaria Interview

MM Hell has conducted an interview with Artifact Entertainment's David Bowman, in which they discuss the past, present, and future of Horizons: Empire of Istaria. A snippet:
Q: Aside of the whole Tulga or Chapter 11 affairs, which sure aren't the things you'd like to talk about the most - what does the future of Horizons look like? What are your development plans?

A: We will continue to grow Horizons for the life of the game. The Dragon Ancient Rite of Passage is coming; the Withered Aegis will continue to improve their strategies and tactics in their ongoing war with the players. While the biped races can currently build very complex communities on their above ground plots, the Dragon races have not been able to develop their communities. This will change with the release of the Dragon Lairs. These underground constructions are three-dimensional homes that Dragons carve out beneath the surface of Istaria. There is no portalling in and out of these spaces; like all of Horizons, the world and Lairs are seamless. The Withered Aegis forces will begin using and dropping Blighted weapons and equipment. This equipment will make the game more rewarding for the adventurers while they fact that they decay with use will continue to make Horizons the best game for crafters. These are just some of the interesting developments in the near future for players of Horizons.
