World of Warcraft Preview

The guys at Silven Crossroads have conjured up a four-page preview of Blizzard's World of Warcraft, based upon firsthand time in the game's beta. Check it out:
As you advance in levels, because World of Warcraft contains so many different things to do, you may actually pass the level of a given quest. In that case, if you click on an NPC who does not have the explanation point above his or her head, they will talk to you and give you the quest, but the quest will be gray, so it might be a good one to decline and just move on. Conversely, you may receive a quest well before your character is ready to complete it. And as you move through the world, you will get several quests that can be completed in the same (instance) dungeon.

What is an instance dungeon? I believe this feature is unique to World of Warcraft so a short explanation will be provided here. Do you remember hearing about the (private realms) feature that Microsoft lauded as a unique feature of the now defunct Mythica? Well, that is basically what an instance dungeon is. It's a quest area with multiple enemies and one or more (boss) or (named) characters that must be defeated. Unlike other areas in the game, where you can see and interact with other players who are also questing, an instance will only show your party. There may be other parties completing the same quest but they will be in their own (instance).
