World of Warcraft Preview

With World of Warcraft rumored to be only weeks from release, the guys at IGN PC have put together an updated preview of Blizzard's MMORPG. Here's a bit about stability and auction houses:
It would also be accurate to say some aspects of World of Warcraft seem to have room for improvement. Foremost among these is stability. It's not a huge problem by any means, but since the latest client version became available a couple of weeks ago, the server I most often play on does go down more often than I'd expect if the game were live. A less serious instance would be auction houses. They exist in a few locations, but each one is completely independent of the others. So, if you want to see everything that's available to bid on, you have to visit every single one, a situation that's not ideal for either the sellers or the buyers. As well, if you happen to be outbid, you do receive a notice. However, should you wish to raise the ante, your only option is to return to the location in question. The auction system works physically, but its design doesn't encourage players to use it.
