World of Warcraft Comparative Preview

FileFront has released another preview of Blizzard's World of Warcraft, this time comparing several aspects of the game to EverQuest. Here's a quick snip about the graphics:
The graphics in World of Warcraft are amazingly vibrant and colorful. Characters have animated emotes for many different situations. Armor and weapons have distinct looks that become fancier as characters progress through the game. Glowing staffs and flaming swords are examples. The world itself is huge but never feels empty or barren. In the elvish forests, trees mesh seamlessly with hills and mountains to the point that you really feel like this terrain is something you'd expect to see in a forest. Pathways and ancient ruins are swallowed up by this atmosphere and give the impression that the grounds are indeed hallowed. Blizzard painstakingly created textures for each area to combat any repetitive effects. EverQuest oftentimes would have dungeons where they would take a wall pattern and paint it over and over again. Individual character models are equally great looking. Unfortunately, there are limited choices on how a player may customize his or her look.
