Q: Currently, the highest tier of item is the Epic (purple). The worldofwarcraft.com website mentions Legendary and Artifact items; could you please build us a theorycraft example of the strength of these? How hard will they be to obtain? Will these items significantly stand out from other equipment?

A: Legendary items will be the next step above Epic and Artifact items and will be the rarest type of items in the game. Legendary and Artifact items will be obtained through possibly either high level raids, or quests. In some ways they will resemble items that are in the game. For instance, if Epic items are at a certain level, Legendary items will be more powerful versions of those, and Artifact items would be even more powerful.
