EverQuest II Interview

Warcry has published an interview with Sony's John Blakely, asking the EverQuest II developer a handful of questions about the MMORPG sequel. Check it out:
Q: With rogues and monks no longer needed to drag corpses what will the abilities Feign death and sneak/hide be primarily used for.

A: In EQII, rogues and monks will be trading in their pallbearer duties for things that better fit their archetype. Feign death is an art that, when successful, will remove you from the encounter hate list. It has similar applications as EQ but with an EQII twist. For example, in EQII, you can use it to (pull) a single encounter in a room full of social (encounters) you will still bring all the mobs in the linked encounter, but you will be getting just one encounter's worth of monsters instead of all encounters in the room.

Sneak is the basis for many of the positional combat arts and powerful (opening) moves that the scout archetype can perform to inflict large amounts of damage in a short period of time. It is also very useful for scouting ahead to warn the party of danger, to find an escape route, or to conceal the party while traveling.
