As fantastic as the new variety in characters is shaping up to be; what's probably the most noticeable as the greatest advancement in EQ2 is the graphics. The world looks spectacular. There are immersive environments, detailed worlds to explore and bump mapping enough to make the most jaded eye-candy connoisseur cry. Even the water has its own physics. In the E3 preview a party took on a dragon that was detailed down to the scales and when the dragon shot his hot fire breath on the party all that was left was bone and armor. If nothing else this game hands down has already earned the title best-looking MMOG (sorry World of Warcraft). Sony Online Entertainment has spared no expense in making the players feel like a part of this world. In addition the sound is amazing; including good voice acting, and combat sound. Just listen to a dragon's roar in EQ2 to feel shivers down your spine.
