A highlight in EverQuest: Omens of War, is the implementation of Epic 2.0. In these quests you will be able to do the second, class-specific, epic quest. While this quest will be harder to do without the first epic quest, it can be done. Alan Crosby told me, (They [these quests] are really going to be useful. They are not going to be something that, in a month from now as you go through Omens, you'll find something better. You're going to be using these weapons for a while.) Additionally, the new epic weapons will apparently take full advantage of the new particle system.
