The Fall - Last Days of Gaia Diary #8

RPGVault continues their designer diaries for Silver Style's upcoming post-apocalyptic RPG, The Fall - Last Days of Gaia, with the eighth installment offering details on creating mods for the game. A snippet:
The first thing players usually want to tweak are the graphics. All textures are stored in a zip archive. We're using the PNG and TGA formats, so you should be able to take a look at them with almost any standard image viewer. The simplest way to get a texture of your choice into The Fall would be either modifying an existing one through some image processing software or replacing it with your own picture.

In terms of sound and music, we're supporting wav and Ogg Vorbis. As you can see, it won't be much of a problem to add your favourite music to the game since there is an abundance of free and commercial programs available that let one create or modify these formats or convert from other data. Once again, like the graphics, you can easily incorporate your own content by replacing the default files. Of course, one is also able to actually add new data through scripts.
