EverQuest II Dev Diary #6

GameSpy has posted the sixth installment to their ongoing EverQuest II developer diaries, this time with producer Bruce Ferguson providing some up-to-date information about the MMORPG. Here's a taste:
Of course, part of the job is actually playing the game, testing, dying, and seeing how things are working. Yes, this is the tough part of the day. We often do team tests to stress a particular process or area, to see whether we can break something. In fact, I found something broken just the other day; one of my co-workers. It seems that I was playing my cleric, and grouped up with Andy (another producer on the project) and the person I share an office with. We were fighting some particularly nasty spiders, and surrounded by other things that tended to join in if we got too close. I started attacking one of the spiders, and Rich Waters walked into our office to discuss something with us, which distracted Andy. "Andy, pay attention. Need some help here," I said, or words to that effect. He glanced at what I was fighting, and immediately hightailed it to the guards at the zone line, which caused Rich to burst out laughing.
