City of Heroes Interview, Part Two

GameDaily is offering up the second installment of their City of Heroes interview with lead designer Jack Emmert, producer Brian Clayton, and product marketing manager Kevin Sullivan. A snip:
Q: There is a type of hero that we don't really see in City of Heroes. The dark anti-hero such as the Punisher, or even the villain-turned-hero like Venom. Are there plans to include this type of dark, mysterious loner type hero in future versions?

A: Well you did say (dark loner type,) but in a massively multiplayer game, it's hard to capture that essence since there are always other heroes in the world. It's definitely something we want to touch on in City of Villains. But to a large degree, this is already possible. It's up to the hero to role play what he chooses. There are already dark element pieces. There's no reason why somebody can't be an urban vigilante. The choice is really up to them. But we will be adding other things which characterize a less (official) type of hero who doesn't go to City Hall. That something down the line that we want to look at.
