Warlords Battlecry III Reviews

The third installment in Infinite Interactive's Warlords Battlecry series is the subject of two new interviews on the 'net. The first is at Gamer's Pulse with an overall score of 30/50:
Overall the story and concept of Warlords Battlecry III is very well presented. However, the lack of an upgraded graphics engine really gave me a sour taste in my mouth. Surprisingly the sound was a lot better and made for an enjoyable audio experience. As with previous titles in this series, the challenge to balance the correct amount of resource collection, base building, and combat seem to still be an issue. If you have been a fan of the first two games in the series then you will want to get your hands on this title.

And the second is at GameOver with an overall score of 70%:
I'm vastly disappointed at this release, like the developers had one surge of creativity for Warlords Battlecry five years ago and have been coasting on fumes since then. It's fun, but so was WB2. I got my reviewer's copy for free, and if you own a copy of WB2 already I'm not sure I can recommend running out to buy this one. It feels dated, especially graphically, and with the cantankerous pathfinding and confusing multiplayer, it seems like they've taken a step backwards instead of forwards.
