World of Warcraft Preview

FileFront has published a two-page preview of World of Warcraft, based upon their time in the game's third phase of beta testing. Here's a snippet:
Starting out as a Dwarf, I popped into the Dwarven world in a town called Anvilmar. I was greeted by NPCs giving me information and offering up simple quests. The fighting system was very straight forward, you select an enemy to fight and get within range to kill them. Much like many MMOs before it, WoW displays battle information in the lower right corner. If you are on the wrong side of the killing your spirit is returned to your home town and you may find your corpse to respawn. If you do not wish to hoof it to your corpse you can pay the (spirit healer) in experience points to respawn right there.

There are about four towns around the area that I started in, each one has its own items for sale and trainers to train you. There are small encampments in between towns offering quests to those who wander through. The Dwarven land is a snowy wonderland with a winter theme . Rabbits hop across the road, birds circle the trees and snow leopards eat said rabbits. I really felt like I was in the game.
