World of Warcraft First Impressions

One of the editors at Gamers With Jobs has written an article that discusses his first impressions of World of Warcraft and offers some comparisons to EverQuest. Here's an excerpt:
When a friend, who is a recent EQ dropout, asked me about WoW his question was simply (Is it like EQ or like Morrowind?) It really hadn't hit me until that point what the difference was between the two. The answer is Morrowind, simply because you can do nothing but quests and keep yourself occupied. In EQ quests were useless, because the game was about stats. In WoW, the quests are how you get the stats. Furthermore, the stats aren't really the only thing in the game. There's great stories to be read, places to explore and interesting characters to interact with. Better yet, these are all valid paths in playing WoW. You can level and get access to new stuff simply by doing what you like.
