Asheron's Call 2 Interview

Warcry has conducted an interview with Turbine's Lorien Carney, asking the Asheron's Call 2 online community rep several questions about the MMORPG's future. An excerpt:
I'll admit, though, that I was interested in more solo content.

(Yes, that's not the intention of MMOGs, obviously,) she said, commiserating, (but a lot of people like to play in that manner. I often play the same way.)

Wicked! But we probably can't leave the grouping crowd out, right?

(Well, we'd like to achieve a balance between those two,) she said, (and have content for both types available. Right now, as you get stronger and gain levels in the game, there is a lot of content that encourages, and in some cases requires, grouping.)

(In final analysis, the way that you retain players is through that community, so we do want to encourage that. Obviously, we're still going to be adding solo content for the levels that are lacking solo content, but right now we're focusing on the group content because you want people to feel like they're part of a community. That's what keeps people around.)
