City of Heroes has some great features and fun group play. However I feel that most people will tire of it after a couple of weeks when the experience treadmill rears its ugly head. Without an additional motivation like weapons and items, leveling up for new powers gets boring once you reach level 12.
Missions aren't varied enough to keep it interesting. A bit like The Sims, once I reached a certain point, I lost all motivation to keep playing. Even so, it is a great game if you love superheroes, MMORPGs and treadmills.
