Star Wars: KotOR II Previews

Two new previews of Obsidian's upcoming Star Wars: KotOR sequel hit the web over the past couple of days. The first is at Frictionless Insight:
Unlike KOTOR, the sequel begins with you as one of the three Jedi classes. You'll still have to earn your lightsaber, but there is no pretense that you are just an ordinary footsoldier in the Republic's battles. Similar to the original game, in KOTOR 2 you'll still have a chance to specialize more later, choosing classes such as Sith Assassin or Jedi Weapon Master. As you might expect from a sequel, there will be a host of new feats, powers and items. Cool new items will include a wrist-mounted rocket launcher, and the around sixty new feats and force powers will include Force sight that lets you see through doors and determine the Force alignment of characters. There will also be Force confusion that will cause your enemies to fight among themselves, and the Dark side attack, Force crush, that was so popular with Vader himself. New moves and animations will emphasize your growth in power as you progress through the game.

And the second is at VideoGamesLife:
Like all good RPGs, Knights of the Old Republic requires a plot. Five years have passed since Darth Malak felt the wrong end of your lightsaber (Oi! No tittering at the back!), but this victory was a hollow one, for the Mandalorian Army continued to press its forces harder into Republic territory. The Republic is on its last legs, with only three forms of Jedi remaining in the galaxy: dead or turned to the Dark Side. The third type is, well, you. Taking control of the last known Jedi, you start off the game fleeing from the machinations of a horde of Sith Lords, determined to destroy the Jedi forever. Unfortunately, these Dark Jedi ambush your ship, the Ebon Hawk, and leave it and everyone contained inside for dead. When you awake, the Ebon Hawk and your character have both safely made it onto a seemingly deserted mining facility.
