DAoC: New Frontiers Beta Now Available

Mythic's official New Frontiers website has been updated with several links to where you can download the beta version of the free Dark Age of Camelot expansion. Here's a quick description of the expansion for those of you who are unfamiliar with it:
New Frontiers will overhaul the game's Realm vs. Realm combat system, where players from the different Realms invade each other's territory, engage in pitched battles, and lay siege to keeps.

New Frontiers will consolidate all of the existing frontier zones across all three realms into a single region to eliminate "zoning" between individual lands. The new consolidated region will be made up of three land peninsulas (Hibernia, Albion and Midgard) each with four zones with the same names that you've grown to know and love. The areas will feel familiar - it will still snow in Midgard - but there will be all new features within them. An ocean will connect the three frontier peninsulas.

What kinds of new features? You'll find portals that are impossible to blockade, riverbanks you can't climb (although you can slide down to the water), dense forests for skulking marauders, and seaside landings for fleets of invaders to storm. There will be mountains and hills for those interested in commanding the high ground, ruins to infiltrate, plus canyons and other bottlenecks to control.
