Much was made of the tons of voices that will be a part of Everquest II's NPCs which is being heralded as a major way to give the game a true sense of realism, rather than dealing all the time with text based conversation. The demo showed off the combat in the game, which Sony Online reps said will get a lot more attention. One big instance of this was shown in the demo where we saw a big honking (it's a technical term) dragon battling a party of about six players. The character models are highly detailed as are the magic and flame effects. We saw the dragon pretty much decimate the party with his breath, leaving nothing but skeletons that fell apart into the ground. Ouch.
