One thing that was rather amazing, however, was how well the game performed, even when there were over 50 players and aliens packed together and fighting right outside Paragon City Hall. While there was a bit of lag when everyone was using huge colorful effects that would sparkle off of scores of people, like mass area heals, overall the frame rate stayed consistently high. In fact, as far as this reporter recalls, there was not a single complaint about lag or frame rates heard on the chat. Something that was quite a bit different from most other large beta events, and which certainly bodes well for the future frame rates for players of CoH.
