Terra Volta houses Paragon City's nuclear power station, and the story behind the trial concerns one of the game's villains. "They're taking it into their head to do something crazy," Lewis cryptically described. The area is an impressively over-developed industrial zone, full of chimneys, chain-link fences, and mobs of angry hoodlums performing some arcane ritual or other.
Trial encounters are scaled according to the overall ability of your party. "We're trying to provide an experience for both casual and hardcore groups," Lewis commented. Some areas will be prohibitively difficult for all but the largest and most powerful clans, however. He described a whole zone the team has just introduced dedicated to an encounter with one of Paragon City's arch-villains. "It's a high level, powergamer type of place," he said.
