Q: The Wish site's race page shows sketches and a few examples of what some of them will look like in the game. Will Wish be limited to only these seven races, or are there more to come?
A: The seven races (Imp, Dragonkin, Cyclops, Elf, Gnome, Human and Dwarf) listed on our website will be the seven playable races for launch. Each one will have advantages and disadvantages, a rich culture and history, and polished models, textures and animations, as well as unique abilities. We believe it is more important to do seven races well than to provide players with a huge number of largely superficial races.
In the future, whether through free updates or expansions, we could add more races. However, we will only add races that make sense from both a game play and a literary standpoint, which means we will never cram a playable race into the game that threatens the integrity of Wish's story.
