HomeLan Fed has conducted an interview with Mythic's Matt Firor, asking the vice president several questions about the upcoming New Frontiers downloadable expansion for Dark Age of Camelot. Check it out:
Q: How will the game world itself be altered to conform to the plans for New Frontiers?
A: We're going to remove all the current frontier zones (four per realm) from the game and replace them with all-new frontier zones. These zones will be placed in the same region (which means that there will be no "zoning" between them), separated by an ocean. The new zones are made with geographical strategy in mind - canyons, steep one-way riverbanks, etc. The goal is to give players different ways to move through the frontiers, and to give defenders chokepoints to defend.
