While there are an awful lot of powers, villains and locations to play with in the current beta for City of Heroes, Lewis told us that plans are already being made for the first major free update to the game once the game launches later this spring. In addition to new powers, costume options and new zones, Lewis said the future might see things like player housing (yep, your own Batcave or Fortress of Solitude) and server wide events that could involve the entire player community (in comic book terms, a crossover event). Lewis said that their publisher NCSoft has had great success with new regular content being added to their own MMORPG Lineage and they want City of Heroes to have that same kind of support.
