Lords of EverQuest Review

GamerFeed has dished up a review of Lords of EverQuest, giving the RTS/RPG hybrid an overall score of 2.5/5. Check it out:
Ultimately, Lords of EverQuest feels like a Rolex knockoff. It seems to have everything that a game needs to be an RTS, but it's simply not fun. The game is boring, from the uninspired characters to the lackluster plot. The environments appear to be well done, but I simply didn't enjoy most of the units. More than a few times, I wanted to turn my sound off so I wouldn't have to listen to my Ogres anymore. Plus, ever since Lord of the Rings, it seems every voice actor playing a dwarf is putting on his best John Rhys-Davies impersonation. Now we have knockoff voices for a knockoff game. In short, if you want EverQuest, go play EverQuest. The game's strategy elements will have to wait for some other time (perhaps another 10,000 years). Yet, this certainly isn't the worst RTS I've ever played. If you're really anxious to pit the forces of Norrath against each other, and you don't mind the technical aspects, then the multiplayer is definitely worthwhile. Hopefully, Blizzard will have a more successful product with World of WarCraft.
