Q: What other new gameplay elements will be found in Hordes of the Underdark?
A: The biggest new gameplay element is the addition of a second henchman. Now the player can take two companions with them as they journey through Undermountain to the Underdark. This adds a great deal of flexibility in gameplay style; for instance, the player can be a mage who rarely gets into hand-to-hand combat, as the two henchmen can intercept any incoming attackers and engage them in melee combat.
We are also adding two new crafting skills to the game: craft weapons and craft armor. The player can use material they pick up or buy to build or customize weapons and armor.
For other classes we have added the scribe scroll and brew potion feats. Using these new additions, spell casters can make items for later use or other party members.
