The venerable Warlords property is unusual in that it has achieved success in both its turn-based and real-time interpretations. After a hiatus of a few years, it looks set to return to its roots in the former category while implementing some noteworthy albeit fairly light RPG-like elements into the gameplay to add some depth and novelty. Assuming a reasonably bug-free release, it seems a pretty safe bet that fans of the series will be pleased. As well, those players who have yet to experience the franchise might benefit from giving this title a chance. With a projected ship date later this month, it won't be long before you can try out Warlords IV: Heroes of Etheria and make up your own mind.
