GameSpy's Most Overrated Games of All Time #11

GameSpy's "Most Overrated Games of All Time" feature continues, with Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor coming in at #11. A snippet:
As a longtime D&D fan, I was hungry for this one. The game touted the use of the new 3.0 rules, and I wanted in! Then the initial comments about technical issues surfaced, especially the hard-drive bug. So I held off. And then I heard the complaints about the gameplay. With so many good games out there vying for my time, and the fact that I valued the sanctity of my hard drive, the game is still sitting on my shelf unopened. Maybe if I was younger and more daring, I'd risk a patch. But right now, it's convenient to say the game was a huge let down before I evened opened the box.
