Vampire: Bloodlines Interview

ComputerAndVideoGames.com has conducted an interview with Troika's development team working on the upcoming Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. An excerpt to follow:
What are you trying to achieve with Bloodlines?

With Bloodlines we really want to bring the computer RPG experience to a completely new level, to combine the fast-paced action of a shooter with the deep storyline and character development of a classic RPG. Part of Troika's expertise has always been deep story telling and multiple solutions based on what type of character you choose to play, and the choices that you make along the way.

In short, we're aiming to create a compelling RPG experience like we have in the past with Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura.

To this we're adding the dark universe and deep, rich environments of White Wolf's [creator of the pen and paper RPG] Vampire system. This, and its political intrigue, makes it perfect for Troika. We're also working very closely with White Wolf as we're developing the story, and with future releases from White Wolf, part of Bloodlines' story will form part of the canon of White Wolf's universe.
